Signal Box at Newhaven


When I drove off the ferry at Newhaven, I had to stop very soon afterwards at this signal box/level crossing to allow an approaching train to pass. It's a gorgeous rustic old building, standing below a busy motorway intersection, faded paint and rusty fences, very shed-like!

    Love this watercolor as well as your other recent ones . . . you have such a nice touch with the medium. Also love the Artist's Sink—perfect combination of beauty and grubbiness. Hope your exhibit is going well . . .
