A Drift of Cosmos...
There won't be many exhibitions I put up which don't display at least one watercolour of flowers. The Cosmos were growing in the garden last year and will provide another stunning show again this time.

Trawlers in Newlyn
I
love the working fishing harbours in Cornwall, the sights, the sounds
the smells and the general industry of the place, I tried to show this
in the painting below rather than the pretty fishing harbour image one
often sees in Cornish paintings, it's one of my favourite paintings in
this show:

Exhibition update
The new exhibition began on Saturday with plenty of visitors and sales, I'm always unsure whether the good weather is a benefit or not. But I'm not complaining. The new work and change of subject matter is going down well I'm pleased to say and I'm finding new things to paint at the farm where I have my studio, like this wall of old rusty tools and cobwebs!

Pretty little boats
I painted these two little boats from a photo from last Summer's trip to Cornwall, as you can tell there was plenty of bright sunshine! I'm very busy organising for the upcoming expo at Swalcliffe Village hall which opens at 10 am this Saturday and runs until the 30th. I'm not sure there is enough wall space this year!

New website...
After several months I can now launch my new website; http://nigelfletcher.co.uk/,
it combines the 'Cotswold Sketchbook' mini paintings which started as a
'painting a day' back in May 2009 along with larger watercolours, oils
and information about exhibitions and workshops. I'll be putting up the
latest exhibition this time next week and will feature most of whats on
the site now...hope you like it.

Whichford Pottery
Had a lovely day's painting at Whichford Pottery on Saturday, plenty of visitors and good to see so many friends. I only managed three paintings - was aiming for 6, but enjoyed chatting to so many people and eating too much cake!
