Spring morning beside this lovely spot. Nattered to the fisherman about what might be caught in the canal now - apparently trout in this section. A bit different to when I was a lad - all you could hope for was gudgeon and shopping trolleys!

Once I'd finished I sat on the warm grass and enjoyed a picnic lunch...lovely!

Beside the Oxford Canal in Somerton

Had a good day in Somerton yesterday, beside the Oxford Canal. Met some nice folks fishing there too before setting off to several other places to do more plein air painting.

'Two Shire Horses'

This week's demo for my oil painting class. I'd been a little reluctant to use this because I considered it to be a bit too difficult for the class. I was wrong!
