The Pink Slippers


The exhibition at Lower Slaughter is now underway and despite a wet start it was good to open the doors and welcome new faces and some old friends. Today's painting is of an old sink in the corner of an ancient French house which belonged to the village Blacksmith, It's called 'The Pink Slippers' refering to the items in the bottom left, the house was for sale and was uninhabited it was as though the family had vanished! On show at the exhibition:

Sunlight over Bourton on the Water


I painted this same view in July this year but this time I was much more excited with the light bouncing around on the surface of the River Windrush, I guess light and it's effects, especially over water is what interests me the most.

Sunset over the Orchard


Made it back to the UK, and now getting organised for the next expo starting next week.  Still painting and trying to keep this blog going, finding reliable internet connection is a problem now however. 

This painting is the small overgrown apple orchard back home in France, a beautiful warm liquid sunset completely enveloped the whole area.
