A subject that I've painted a few times before, I love the muted greys and sharp passages of bright light that fall from the window across the tiles and leading edge of the sink. I applied the oil paint in a fairly loose way and used a palette knife to lay the paint quite thickly in places once the basic shapes and tones were established. Sarah's Sink becomes 'The Artists Sink' On show at the exhibition ~
